1st-Mile Institute
The 1st-Mile Institute, active since being established in 2006, has been reorganized in 2013 as a fiscally sponsored program of the New Mexico Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.
1st-Mile Institute is a ‘think and do tank’, intending to creatively address local-global "Grand Challenges" in and through the arts and sciences and for our networked communications society from its home in north-central New Mexico.
1st-Mile Institute now stewards two primary programs:
1st-Mile Institute is founded and directed by Richard Lowenberg.
People and communities creating networked eco-social value locally, are the first mile, not the last mile.
